Scott Hamilton has been honing his skills for over 50 years. He has played and recorded many of the jazz standards with many of the greats or with his own groups. But it seems that in recent years his collaborations with Elia Bastida have brought a fresh approach to many familiar tunes. The latest sessions with Elia providing a string quartet backing are simply beautiful. I am sure that both Elia and Scott have more to offer with one backing the other or in duets. I look forward with keen anticipation to Elia”s next project.
